Peter is a telecommunication engineer with heart of a programmer. He was trained in signal processing and neural networks. His professional career started as a software/telecom engineer at Siemens before finishing undergraduate computer science degree. Driven to never stop learning he moved to RIKEN Brain Science Institute in Japan. His interests shifted to neuroscience, understanding of brain function, human and computer vision. In 15 years of practice with various multidisciplinary research teams, he developed scientific software, built and maintained hardware infrastructure of research labs, developed and published scientific models and methods. Peter evolved into a scientific programmer, equipped with unique abilities to translate between computer languages, platforms and technologies, and between ideas of researchers and methods on computers. Peter has extensive experience with large scale data analysis, tools of electrophysiology, eye-tracking, he worked with humanoid robots, designed and built computational clusters.
