Neil T. Banerjee is a student of Computational Neuroscience at the University of Southern California. Working to facilitate collaboration among USC’s Neuroscience and Cinematic Arts communities, Neil also pursues a custom Bachelor’s in Neurocinematics, examining intersections of perceptual neuroscience and immersive media. His past research experiences include crafting a two-player VR experience for patients with dementia and their caretakers, and investigating the neural correlates of narrative immersion through fMRI analysis. Neil’s other academic interests reach beyond virtual transportation to include physical transportation; he has engaged in aerospace and astronautical engineering projects for both academia and industry.
